Safety & Orientation Session (SOS) #1

  • 11 May 2024
  • 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • TISC Clubhouse

Registration

Registration is closed

We hope you are looking forward to getting on the water soon!

All new sailing members are required complete a safety session before their first sail. There are 3 ways of completing this (pick one of the following):

  1. Attend the SOS/Safety & Orientation Session #1 (this one!)
  2. Attend the SOS/Safety & Orientation Session #2
  3. Have your assigned skipper go over the safety checklist on your first social sailing night.

We recommend attending one of the SOS sessions at the club as they include an orientation to the club (also useful although not mandatory for social members), cover the material in more detail, and give you an opportunity to meet others from the batch of 2024!

The session will be approximately two hours long and will cover

  1. Club orientation: Grounds, Facilities, Logistics, Procedures
  2. Safety session: Gear, Safety briefing, Capsize recovery, Throwing a line

Getting to TISC

If you don't have tender tickets or a tender pass as yet, either take the center island ferry or let the tender captain know that you will be buying tickets or the season pass at the Marina office on the island.
