Step 2 allows the club to access the change rooms in the clubhouse, but limits us to five people inside at one time (including the work party).
In place of the usual work huge party, the setup will be carried out over 2 sessions - morning and afternoon on Saturday (July 3).
For those who have been work party regulars, please don't feel obliged to volunteer for this particular event as the number of tasks is far exceeded by the interest. There will be many other volunteer opportunities coming up once regular access to the club has been established.
Please Sign up for one or two sessions. You can be on the wait list for multiple sessions.
Important Info to consider before you sign up:
1) Limit of 5 TISCers per tender so please spread your arrivals over the noon, 1pm or 2pm tenders or take water taxi or ferry. Masks are required.
2) No food or drink provided. Please bring your own.
3) Due to the limited number of available spots, only sign up if you are certain you can attend.
4) You must have signed The TISC COVID code of conduct, which you will be receiving shortly.
5) Please check the following list of tasks for each session. Only sign up for a session if you are comfortable contributing to each of the tasks.
6) After your session, please relax and enjoy the club and go for a sail.
7) Suggest taking the free Centre Island ferry back to the city.
Session Tasks:
Session 7 (10:00am - 1:00pm Saturday) (This Session)
- smooth sand under launch ramps,
- align launch ramps,
- anchor floating end of wood dock,
- anchor floating end of black dock,
- repair wooden dock,
- repair dolly tires,
- pressure wash Albacores (if desired),
- install bimini onto Whaler (Fleet),
- connect outdoor wash station
- post ferry schedule
- post tender schedule
- take photos and group picture
Session 8 (1:00pm - 5:00PM Saturday)
- remove boat covers from under clubhouse and properly fold or roll them
- hang new lights
- convert old Getaway pontoon into bench and place somewhere useful
- wash outside of clubhouse windows
- move trailer from wooden dock to near boathouse with others
- trim brush near gas locker (reduce tick hazard) and between boathouse and sail shed
- install new PVC posts for Lasers
- make tires less visible by gas locker and tool shed
- find and install cover on frame beside clubhouse north doors
- find and install sun shade over clubhouse north doors
- hang donated hammock
- take photos and group picture
