Calling all sailors! The season is upon us once again. Social sailing, FNRs, Harbour Masters, and Regattas now grace our calendar. It’s time to shake off the winter rust and hop back onto an Albacore. But this isn’t just about sailing—it’s about sailing fast.
To achieve that goal, our club is organising focused race coaching sessions. These sessions will cover sailing techniques, racing tactics and strategies. Most of the sessions will take place on the water, on selected Mondays throughout the season. To kick off the series, Norm has graciously offered to host an initial online workshop, sharing his tips and tricks. This is relevant to all sailors who want to sail faster.
Event details:
Before joining the session, we encourage you to read the document so you can make the most of it.
Who Can Attend? This event is open to all club members. However, if you are new to sailing, keep in mind that the content may be quite specific. Don’t worry— our season will be filled with plenty of opportunities for learning.
Calling All Volunteers! We’re also seeking volunteers to help run the on-water sessions. If you’re willing to contribute (even for just one session), please reach out to racing@torontosailing.com.
Let’s make this racing season one to remember! ⛵
CANSail is designed to be a set of progressive learn to sail standards focused on providing sailors with a solid foundation of core skills.
Note: There will be a break for lunch each day, and students should pack food and water to stay energized and hydrated
