Social sail, learn to sail or race - there's no better way to spend your summer than on the water with TISC! As a TISC member, you'll have access to our fleet of Albacores, Lasers and Hobies. Plus, our spectacularly located clubhouse. Between our unique Social Sail progam, Learn to Sail (education), racing programs, and our social events, TISC has something for every sailor at any skill level.
Social sailing takes place on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings.
Novice sailors are paired with experienced sailors to learn the art of sailing at your own pace, with the opportunity to improve your skills and achieve Helms, Senior Helms or Skipper status.
After social sailing, we fire up the BBQ and socialize over a pot luck. Bring something to BBQ for yourself, and something to share!
The racing program is a vital and exciting part of TISC. There are opportunities for all members to participate in racing regardless of skill level.
The 2018 racing season includes 19 Friday Night Races, 10 Harbour Masters, and 6 all-day or multi day Regattas and a number of special events.
TISC is responsible for running several races through the season. Volunteers are needed on the Race Committee boats to help run these races. No prior experience is necessary. Sign up and learn about the timing, recording, flags and operating the Race Committee boat.
Joining the race committee is a good way to hone your understanding of the sport. It is recommended that all new crew volunteer for race committee prior to their first race so they better understand the dynamics of racing. Even if you don’t want to race, your help would be greatly appreciated. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to meet club members.
